What Can You Expect to Experience at a Yoga Retreat?

November 01, 2011

I've been attending and leading yoga retreats for many years.

In fact, it was from some of my world travel experiences that I made the decision to become a yoga teacher and lead these transformational retreats as a career.

I had experienced such a depth of understanding about myself, the cultures of this world and a deeper appreciation for the magical mystery of life during these travels, I knew I had to share this with others.

Thus, my company was created, back in 2004.

So, maybe you are wondering:

What can I expect to experience on a yoga adventure retreat?

One thing is for sure, you can expect to have the time of your life.

Whatever you are needing to address will possibly come up for you and there will be a group of support there to help you through it in many amazing ways.

On the physical level, people usually lose weight and feel a heightened sense of well being. This is a result of the daily yoga practices (usually 2-3 classes per day) in combination with healthy nutritious meals and life enhancing elixirs that are an absolute must for all attendees.

On the emotional level, things tend to come up when we are practicing yoga and meditation that much. Interesting things you may not expect tend to rise to the surface, asking to be healed, cleared and released. Crying, laughing and everything in between are the appropriate ways to let go as we allow ourselves to be vulnerable and explore our authenticity.

On the mental level, we always  grow stronger when we push ourselves to the limits and move beyond our comfort zones. We see ourselves as larger and more capable then we had previously imagined and we allow ourselves to step into these greater shoes.

And spiritually, we evolve as a result of all of the connectivity and inner exploration.

Most people who attend my yoga training retreats tend to connect deeply and leave life long friends. That is a huge bonus and something often quite unexpected.

Outside of the yoga studio we explore the adventurous world around us! We usually take at least a few excursions to explore the beauty and wonder that surrounds us. Whether it is snorkeling, hiking, water falls, temples, or visiting an orphanage, we dig deep and suck the marrow from life every chance we get.

I do hope you can join us in the near future.

Check out the upcoming schedule and register for a retreat in Bali, UK, Croatia or some other gorgeous location around the world.

Blessings to your great success and happiness,
