200 Hour Teacher Trainings & Yoga Group Retreats
The savings opportunity and timeline for payments is detailed below. Both Teacher Training and Retreat registrations are accepted up to two weeks before the start date. We have been known to make exceptions, however this is based on availability. We limit the size of our groups to ensure individual attention and offerings typically fill months in advance, so please plan accordingly.
EARLY REGISTRATION SAVINGS & BENEFITS
We encourage teacher training and group retreat registrants to take advantage of the tuition early registration savings. This tuition savings is available to attendees of teacher trainings and group retreats who pay in full at time of registration and a minimum of 4 months prior to the event start date. (NOTE: The pay in full price on our registration form will reflect this tuition savings automatically if you register and pay prior to the early registration cut off which is 4 months prior to start date).
WHAT IF AN EVENT IS FULL?
When an event or specific accommodation type for an event is full, it will be shown on the schedule page and registration will not be possible for these dates or room types. If your event or accommodation preference shows as full, and you wish to be wait listed, please email us. (LINK) If it is possible to attend an event on another date, we suggest you register for this second choice prior to emailing us so that you are guaranteed a spot when available, and in the event that the wait list does not open up. (We will transfer your registration information if an opening becomes available from your second choice to your wait list option).
Registration is completed online. Follow the links in the table above which will take you to our secure system. To register, if not paying in full, we require a 50% deposit to hold your space. Then the final remaining 50% balance is required 45 days prior to event commencement to secure your spot. You will receive an email link to follow for final payment in advance of the final payment deadline. We do accept later payments and registrations, but they are based on availability. Refund Policy. For written cancellation requests received no later than 60 days prior to the retreat or training, we offer a 50% refund of the moneys paid and the remaining 50% may be applied to a future event. Written cancellation requests less than 60 days in advance of the event will receive no refund and a credit of the amount paid, minus $US 500, towards a future Pranashama Yoga TT or retreat event. We have been known to make exceptions for special circumstances.

Frequently Asked Questions
What type of yoga experience is required?
Pranashama Yoga believes that yoga by its nature, should not consist of levels and that classes with levels are created as a convenience for the teacher only. For this reason, all levels are welcome to all retreat offerings, including absolute beginners. All of the offerings are structured to not just accommodate, but to satisfy beginner through intermediate yogis. And more experienced yogis should understand that there is no such thing as an advanced posture as what advances is the state of mind!
What style of yoga is offered?
Our morning practices consist of all-level Pranashama Vinyasa Flow with a lot of attention drawing from the Ashtanga, Sivananda, Iyengar, Tantra, Thai Yoga, Qi Gong, Restorative and Power Vinyasa Yoga tradition. Our afternoon asana classes are a blend of Vinyasa and Restorative sequences, also for all levels.
Is meditation and Nutition knowledge and experience required?
Our meditation and Nutrition workshops and classes are perfectly suited for all levels of experience.
Is it possible to have private yoga instruction in conjunction with a retreat or training?
Yes. Please state this on your registration as private instruction is considered an "add-on," but a popular one we are familiar with providing. Private lessons are 75 minutes in length and are naturally customized for your needs and aspirations. We recommend a minimum of 3 private lessons to really take your practice to the next level.
Is it okay to come alone?
Absolutely! Most attendees do come alone- to retreats and training intensives. Your entire retreat experience is group-oriented, so there will be plenty of time to meet people and make new friends, as well as plenty of privacy for those seeking tranquility for introspection and reflection. You have shared accommodations for you to bringa friend or meet a new one, most who participate have not met their roommate prior to the retreat.
What is and what isn’t included in the price of a retreat?
In every description of a yoga retreat you can find what is included in the price. Our retreats are all-inclusive in terms of yoga classes, mediation and workshops and lessons, 3 meals per day, listed excursions, R/T airport transfers, some spa treatments and the Government tax and service is included. Items not included: R/T flight to Bali, travel insurance, transportation for leisure, Tax on Arrival, Departure tax, laundry service, additional spa treatments, additional excursions and personal expenses.
Are there any extra activities besides the retreat that one can participate in?
In every retreat there is some free time to do extra activities or to relax. Our Resort has a swimming pool and near by hot springs and the surroundings and beach (steps away) are well worth exploration. Add-ons or optional activities include but are not limited to: excursions to nearby waterfalls, world-class scuba and snorkeling, sunrise sails with dolphins, shopping trips, Healthy Food/ Raw/ Vegan & Pescatarian cooking classes, horseback riding and more. Dive Certication and additional yoga classes available, as a mid day optional module, with early registration required. Most guests indulge in multiple healing modalities and pampering treatments at our Spa during free time slots (which are reduced in price for retreat & Teacher Training participants).
Is it possible to stay extra nights prior to or after the retreat?
Yes, that’s possible, and most people do…but it depends on availability. It is best to book this at the time of the retreat booking to ensure availability and this information can be provided on the registration form.
How do I secure my spot?
A $1,000 deposit required within 5 days of acceptance to the program and a 50% of tuition non refundable payment is required to secure your spot for a retreat or teacher training. The balance due date is 45 days prior to the retreat start date. The deposit and payment policy for retreats and teacher trainings is detailed on the registration form.
What is the average profile of your current visitor (nationality, gender, age)?
Our guests are 60/40% women/men and between 20 and 60 in age and from around the planet!
What is the minimum and maximum amount of participants?
Pranashama Yoga School and retreats have no minimum, a minumum of 10 and a maximum of around 50 participants. It is very important that we limit the size of each event to ensure a high level of personal attention.
How early do participants register to secure a spot?
Most group retreats and trainings fill 4 to 5 months prior to the start date as we offer early registration discounts that end during this time period. However, when retreats fill, we post this information on our site so you will not have to worry about registering for an event that is full.
Is there specific information that you need to know from the participants up front?
Yes, if you see our registration form, this will answer this question. Please be honest and specific with regard to your experience and goals so we can accommodate your unique needs. We organize a personal phone conversation after your registration to begin to get to know you and understand your desires and place you with a roommate we feel would make a good match, if appropriate.
Do visitors need to bring anything special?
Once the reservation is confirmed and deposit received, we send an information email to our guests and also go over much of this during our one on one phone interview. Most attendees prefer to bring along their personal yoga mat; yet, we have a mat for you if you do not want to travel with one. We recommend bringing a pair of comfortable walking shoes, some flip flops, a few pairs of shorts and t-shirts and a good hat to protect your face from the sun. Remember that Bali has a tropical climate; therefore, there is no need to bring any heavy clothing. Do not forget your swimming suit, sun block and, of course, a camera!

If you have clothing, shoes, hats, or whatever you think could be useful for people that are not so fortunate, do not hesitate to take it a long as a donation for the village people. It is not necessary, yet it would certainly be appreciated.
On which airport do I need to arrive?
The airport in Bali is Denpasar (DPS) (and we will provide you R/T airport transfer directly to the retreat resort). We fly into San Jose (SJO) airport for the Costa Rica Level 2 Training. Please refer to our travel section for additional details.
Do I need a visa?
A Tourist Visa is available on arrival at the airport in Bali for most countries. The cost is US$25 for a 30 days visa. If you wish to stay in Indonesia longer than 30 days, you need to apply for a 60-day tourist visa in your own country. Costa Rica does not require visas for most international travelers, but it is best to check to make sure if your country requires visa, as a possible exception.
Do I need to tip?
Tips for services rendered are always welcome, and are very much appreciated by our hard working staff. Unless specified, we pool all the tips at the end of every week and divide them equally among the staff members. As a guide, may we suggest a tip of $5-10/day.
What kind of food do you serve?
During this 30 day training, we follow a very specific diet plan, created to detoxify, alkalinize and balance your body. Many participants experience body fat reduction, muscular tone and improvements in overall energy levels without stimulants! We serve very delicious, nutritious and healthy food, mostly organic and mostly grown from our organic garden and lean more towards a vegetarian, vegan, raw food diet, but we do also provide some fresh fish and eggs dishes at meal times as well. We also offer optional courses during the program, which you can register for seperately, to learn to prepare the healthy, nutritionous meals and smoothies you will fall in love with over the course of this program. Please indicate your interest in these additional modules at time of registration and application, as we will make those courses available based upon interest level of participants.
Do you have Internet or phone access?
We do have phone and Internet access, both of which will be provided in the main office. Due to the location of our Resort location, Internet accessibility is unlike that in developed countries. Unfortunately (or fortunately) we are not able to provide wireless access through the property.
We do invite you to leave your cell phones and lap tops at home and "unplug" from your life while you are on your vacation or retreat. One of our aims is to take full advantage of this isolation to concentrate on the peace and tranquil experience as it can (and should!) be appreciated. Come, disconnect and decompress! (The internet is located near the reception desk, and is moderate speed, so uploading videos and photos takes a while, be prepared!)
What is the easiest way to reach Pranashama Yoga School Location in Bali?
You must first fly to Denpasar, Bali (DPS). Transportation to/from the airport is inclusive in the journey. We offer complimentary transfers to and from the airport the first and last days of each retreat/training.
Is it possible to stay for just one week and participate as a vacation in Bali without doing the TT program?
Yes, that is possible; the details of this options will be listed on a separate page.
What is the local currency?
The local currency is Indonesian Rupiah and we have reasonable money changers near the retreat location.
Is there an ATM-machine nearby?
There are many ATM machines nearby, about 1.6 kilometres from the resort.
Can I bring my child, dog or other animal?
Due to the nature of our program, we will be immersed in the practice, science and art of Pranashama Yoga all day each day for the full experience, we won't be able to permit children or animals to join us during this teacher training or retreat in Bali. Thank you for understanding.

Are you New To Yoga?
If you are new to yoga, you may not realize that there are as many different styles of yoga as there are varieties of ice cream at Baskin Robbins. If you read my Ebook, "Intro to Yoga: Getting Started on the Right Foot" you will learn about many of the most popular styles being taught and practiced in the world today.
It is important that you know why you want to do yoga, in order to choose a style that will best fit your needs and goals. Additionally, you will find that even different teachers of the same style will resonate with you to varying degrees. You will find the teachers that inspire and motivate you to continue your practice and offer you the guidance you desire.
When choosing a teacher, find someone who practices what they teach/preach. This is an important key.
When I teach yoga or any of the other aspects of the P10L program, I offer guidance from experience. I never take people places I have not already explored personally. I can vouch for the true benefits of everything that I teach. The same is true for the healing therapies I offer and recommend.
With all that being said, I developed Pranashama Yoga over the course of years of practice and studying with some of my favorite and most inspirational teachers around the world.
Along my path I have needed healing just like everyone else. So, for that reason, I offer a style that is versatile: it is always healing, while the pranic and energetic peaks and valleys vary in the different sequences I offer. Some days we have lots of energy and we really want to work on strength and endurance. Some days we can hardly move our bodies and we need a yoga that will move slowly and heal us from the inside out.
Chitta Vritta Niroda- Calming the mental fluctuations of the mind. All great yogis will tell you that that is the key to enlightenment. In that space of mental clarity, all possibilities exist. Unbounded creativity, infinite potentiality and bliss reside beyond the mental chatter. This is achieved in many ways. You can sit still in lotus position with eyes closed or trance dance to music that moves the room and rocks your soul. I'm here to share with you all of this. You have a beautiful voice. (whether you believe it or not!) Let's hear it! In this joyful & awakening vinyasa practice, we will express our Throat Chakra through Bija mantras during the practice. Practice with us or just visualize yourself doing it and absorb the healing vibration from the group. Bija mantras as the seed sound syllables that harmonize and balance the chakras. This class will also have an emphasis on breathing with the movements of the vinyasa practice and moving with grace.

This workshop is all about Yoga Nidra and Guided Meditations specifically designed with intention and purpose. Yoga as Spiritual Practice- Wearing the Crown of Freedom

9. Detox Yoga Flow- "Discover the Fountain of Youth through Yoga"

Detoxification of the internal organs, as well as the largest organ on the body: your Skin. In this challenging Detox Yoga Vinyasa Flow, we will explore the 3 stages of physical body detoxification, ending in a healing/cleansing meditation. We will also discuss the essentials of dietary detoxification and how to integrate it into your monthly schedule to reverse disease, maintain health and maximize your inner and outer radiant beauty. You will never be the same after this workshop.
10. Healing/Restorative Yoga and Self Massage-
Learn how to heal yourself. We don't always have access to a healer or massage therapist, but we can certainly use the loving touch each and every day! In this hands on workshop, you will learn how to use yoga to heal yourself, moving slowly, in a Yin Yoga Slow Vinyasa Flow practice. We will utilize ancient techniques of acupressure to access healing pressure points on the body and breath into them to release stored tension and pain. Anyone who has been injured, had surgeries, been in car accidents or who is going through physical, emotional or mental stress will greatly benefit from this workshop. All Levels. Teacher Trainees will learn how to teach this Highly Needed practice to students of all levels and abilities and how to work with injury and disability on many levels.
11. Family and Partner Yoga- Connecting Families through Loving Playfulness
The joy of family is to play together! In this fun and interactive workshop you will learn partner poses, and how to do yoga with your children, spouse, and/or friends! You will have fun, laugh, and experience great pleasure and you assist each other into fun, strengthen, opening asanas/poses. Seated, Standing, Flying and Lying down poses will be taught. No prior experience necessary. Teacher Trainees will learn how to instruct and assist students in these fun classes and how to demonstrate effectively, so everyone is safe and has a great experience.

Workshops are a wonderful way to become acquainted with Yoga. Starting with the physical, you can learn many techniques to ensure proper bodily alignment. You will learn the subtle and energetic techniques to control your prana or life force. You will learn specific sequences to balance or heal certain aspects of your life and break through to the next level of your life. You will even learn mental techniques (through meditation) which will enable you to liberate your mind and access the state of pure potentiality and total unbounded awareness.

Throughout the year we will be offering workshops to guide you on your path. We encourage you to try other teachers as well, to find the path that suits you best. And to continually study, practice and absorb all of the knowledge that you can. Life is a journey and the more you embrace the role of the student, the sooner you will enter into the realm of Total Mastery. And even at that level, you should never stop seeking. Never stop learning. Remain open like a lotus flower to the sun and all of life's blessings will shower upon you in this life and in those that are to come. You are setting the stage for a magical life of adventure.
